Our contribution to the wider denomination
The multiple levels of denominational involvement by ministers and members of the First Universalist Church throughout the 150 years are broad and deep. They have chaired committees and boards, been trustees, planned conferences, advised on women's and social justice issues, worked on bylaws and compensation. Others have been members of the UUA staff. The legacy of involvement at the local, regional and national level has been not only a source of pride but also a reminder of the responsibility to look beyond the congregation in spreading the Universalist message.
