Childcare for Church Events

We welcome children, parents, and families at First Universalist Church!

As a ministry to families with young children, we offer childcare at no cost for most church programming.

How do I request childcare?
Call or email
Lily, our childcare coordinator, at 612-825-1701 x107 at least one week in advance of the program.  Childcare may be available on shorter notice, but not guaranteed.

Who provides childcare?
Our trained seventh-twelfth grade teens provide childcare for children ages one and up. Children under the age of one will be cared for by an adult caregiver, typically Lily, who is part of the church staff. Childcare will never be offered at church without an adult staff member onsite in the building.

What do I need to bring for my child?
Please bring a diaper bag, a list of allergies (and epi-pen, if necessary), and a nut-free snack or meal if your child will need to eat.  There are some events at which meals and snacks are provided to the children.  We will let you know when this is the case.

When can I expect childcare to be available?
We anticipate being able to provide childcare for all evening and weekend church programs. Childcare is typically not available during weekday hours. Childcare is not available for organizations who rent the space or for private events (weddings, memorial services), although church staff would be happy to have a conversation about how to find childcare resources for these events.
